MS Säntis

The motor ship "MS Säntis" had served as a course and excursion ship for the Swiss Lake Constance Navigation Company since the 1950s. Due to the increasing shift in use as an event ship, the requirements for catering, interior and technical installations changed.

In keeping with the motto: "The yacht for a day", the Säntis has now undergone an all-round refurbishment, which also includes an enlargement of the main and upper decks. The reduced architectural language with noble materials such as cherry wood and brass bridges the gap between a nostalgic course ship and the feeling of a modern luxury yacht. Modern crystal lights on the walls and ceiling create a glamorous ambience and fabric coverings on the walls optimise the room acoustics. The furnishings, specially designed for the ship, meet the functional requirements, save space and are comfortable and beautifully shaped. For private and corporate events, both the multimedia and gastronomic infrastructure is created to cater for all types of occasions.

The structure and exterior line of the ship has been adapted to create more space on the upper deck and the main deck to cater more broadly for events of up to 180 people. At the front of the ship is a lounge that can be converted into an additional dining room, depending on the size of the event and as required. On the enlarged upper deck, wedding ceremonies can be held outside under a sun awning by the chief captain. Sliding windows can be used to connect the exterior and interior.
